about
On Screen Magazine reports, documents, and celebrates the accomplishments of Seattle’s vibrant and growing film and media arts scene. The magazine is now on its fourth issue, and has served as the voice of 911 Media Arts Center and the local independent media community at large. We are dedicated to giving media artists the widest possible platform to show and talk about their work, through well-distributed magazine articles, DVD releases, and our cutting edge multi-media website. Seattle has never had as hot a talent pool in film and media arts as now, and we are here to see that the world knows it.
Keep checking onscreenmag.com for new additions like original video-journalism, Jon Behrens’ blog covering underground DVD releases, local independent film reviews, and “Scene It,” our space for covering local events and happenings through writing, photography, video, and more.
On Screen Magazine and its publisher 911 Media Arts Center strengthen the community by articulating its leading voices, spotlighting lesser known work, and introducing many to artists and pieces that too often are known only to small select audiences.
